Looper - 80%

Rok 2044, cestovaní v čase ještě nebylo vynalezeno, ale za třicet let bude. Looper je nájemný zabiják pracující pro zločineckou organizaci. V budoucnosti je díky všemožným technologiím těžké někoho odstranit. Nepohodlné osoby jsou proto posílány do minulosti, kde se o ně Looper, na přesně stanoveném místě a v přesně stanovený čas, postará. Existuje pouze jedno pravidlo - Looper nesmí nechat svou oběť utéct. Odměna je posílána rovnou s obětí. Joe (Joseph Gordon-Lewitt) patří mezi spolehlivé Loopery. Užívá si bezstarostného života v luxusu. A to až do chvíle než má vykonat další zakázku. K jeho překvapení se před ním totiž objeví jeho budoucí já (Bruce Willis). Má Joe zabít sám sebe? 

Režisér filmu, Rian Johnson si získal pozornost kritiků v roce 2005 filmem Zmizení. Již tady se spojil s Josephem Godonem-Levittem, kterému film pomohl prosadit se i mimo natáčení televizních sitkomů a teenagerovských filmů. Jeho dalším filmem byl nepříliš úspěšná a tak trochu divná komedie Bratři Bloomovi, kde si bok po boku zahráli Adrien Brody a Mark Ruffalo. Kromě filmu se Johnson režisérsky podílel i na dvou seriálech Perníkový táta (2008) a Čmuchalové (2010). V obou filmových počinech se spojuje reálný svět s tím smyšleným a to platí i u Loopera. V jednu chvíli se nacházíme ve futuristickém městě s létajícími auty a na druhé straně jsou tu farmy, kde lidé žijí úplně obyčejně. 

Už jsem to zmínila několikrát, ale ráda to zopakuji. Joseph Gordon-Levitt je úžasný herec. Tentokrát se pro svou roli změnil i vzhledově (jak jste si určitě všimli), aby byl co nejvíce podobný Willisovi. Naučil se od něj i mimiku a vy si tak říkáte, že v některých scénách jakoby mu z oka vypadl. Hlavně když hází Willisovy kukuče. Co se mi na filmu líbí je jeho nepředvídatelnost. Když už si myslíte, že víte co bude následovat, hned další scéna Vás pěkně vyvede z omylu a vy tak až do konce filmu netušíte jak to dopadne a co má kdo za lubem. A tak tu vlastně proti sobě nestojí ani kladný ani záporný hrdina. Současné i budoucí Joeovo já mají své vlastní důvody, proč chtějí zůstat naživu a jednají, jak jednají. Vy tak ani nevíte, komu máte vlastně držet pěsti. Levitt a Willis jsou si rovnými protivníky. Ale herecky tu vyznívá více Levitt, který dostal ve filmu také více prostoru. 

Film má i pár mušek a to především v rámci několika alternativních dějů, které se objevují s rozlišným a někdy dosti zvláštním jednáním hlavních aktérů. U jednoho momentu si stále nejsem jistá, jak to básník myslel. Objeví se tu i pár postav, které jsou zbytečné a pro děj nepodstatné. Fanoušci sci-fi si však přijdou na své a pár akčních scén je opravdovou lahůdkou.

Year 2044, time travel hasn't been invented, but in thirty years hence it will. Looper is syndicate hitman, working for criminal organization. In the future, it is difficult to get rid of someone, because of all the sort of technologies. Uncomfortable people are sent back to the past, where the Looper kills them. This is all done on specific location and at specific time. There is only one rule for Looper - he can't let the victim escape. Very general reward is send with the victim. Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a reliable looper, enjoying his life in luxury. This is until he is suppose to go to finish another task. To his surprise his future self (Bruce Willis) appears in front of him. Will Joe kill himself? 

Director Rian Johnson got the attention of critics in 2005 with movie Brick. He also teamed up on this movie with Joseph Gordon Levitt, for whom this was the start of carrier beyond TV sitcoms and teenager movies. Next Johnson's film was the Bloom Brothers played by Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo. In addition to directing movies Johnson also participated as a director on TV series Breaking Bad (2008) and Terriers (2010). Both his film combined realistic world with the fictional one and same is Looper. One moment we find ourselves in a futuristic city with flying cars and next on farm, where people live without any futuristic things. 

I've mentioned this before, but will repeat it. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an amazing actor and was great in the role of young Joe. This time his appearance was changed (as you surely noticed from the pictures) to look more like Willis (older Joe). He learned from his mimics and in some scenes looks like the spitting image of Willis, especially when he does the Willis's looks. What I like about the movie it that it is unpredictable. When you think you know what will happen, the very next scene just shows you are mistaken and this goes until the end. There is no hero or villain. Young and future old Joe have their own reasons to stay alive and why are they act as they do. So you don't even know whose side to take. Gordon-Levitt and Willis are equal opponents, but star of this movie is Gordon-Levitt who has also much more space in it. 

There are few not really good moments in the movie, especially in the several alternative plots that go on with the different and sometimes weird approach of the main characters. Few unnecessary characters appear but sci-fi fans will like this movie and there are few action scenes that are a real treat.
